The first thing I drew at the Drink and Draw -- the bar has this bison head mounted above the entrance and it served as inspiration.

Well, I was born in Manitoba, so the Bison could be my totemic creature. Given the right combination of comic book science I bet I could transform into something like this with the right emotional stimulus.

So, the answer is "maybe".

That's an awesome piece! I love the shading and the structure of the fur. But I wonder whose drink the bison spilled to get his head hung in the bar...

I think the place used to be a biker bar, so the bison might have accidentally tipped a row of bikes. . .

Being that close to it, I got the feeling the bison was a jerk in life and was very unkind to the smaller members of the herd, so this was probably a karmic result for the beast.
